What's the difference between distribution and publishing?

Distribution gets your music on streaming platforms. Publishing collects royalties from that music being played. You need both.

Do I need to already be registered with BMI?

No! We'll handle the BMI registration for you. Just answer a few questions about your songs, and we'll do the rest.

How does YouTube CMS work?

We register your music with YouTube's Content ID system. When someone uploads a video with your music, we detect it and claim ad revenue.

How much will I earn from YouTube?

It varies based on views. On average, YouTube pays $0.01-0.03 per stream. But it adds up with millions of views.

When do I get paid?

YouTube royalties are paid monthly (after 60 days). Performance royalties from BMI arrive quarterly (March, June, September, December).

What if I'm not in the US?

That's fine! We register you with BMI as a foreign publisher. We'll also collect through international societies for plays outside the US.
